Virtual Training - Federal Programs Overview

The Office of ESEA Programs, at the Colorado Department of Education, will be facilitating a Virtual Training on November 6th from 11:30 am-3:30 pm.  


The virtual training will cover the ESSA Program Requirements (Title IA, ID, IC, II, III, IV & V), the Federal Program grant cycle, ESSA Monitoring overview, and stakeholder engagement requirements under the ESSA. The content is designed for any new ESEA directors, coordinators, grant management staff, or any district employees who would like a refresher on ESEA programs. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the ESEA and have an opportunity to address any questions about program implementation with other districts across the state and the ESEA Program Specialist.

Webinar - Understanding Federal Title Services and Equitable Share of the CARES Act

All private schools are eligible each year under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act to receive services for your students and teachers provided through equitable services.  The CARES Act passed by Congress provides emergency funding to every state's department of education and this funding is to be shared with private schools for COVID-19 related needs. This webinar will give a short overview of Equitable Services and then how to make sure your private school is getting its equitable share.


Speaker will be Dr. Patrick Haggarty, President of FACTS Education Solutions.  Dr. Haggarty is a firm believer in the importance of a values-based education for children and families, as well as building relationships to broaden the circle of influence for private school success.

Webinar - The CARES Act and Equitable Services for Private Schools

This webinar will cover the details of the CARES Act and the programs in it that includes equitable services for privates schools.  The CARES Act provides additional funds for the State of Colorado's Department of Education and some of those emergency funds are to be used for private schools services.  George Tryfiates, from the Washington DC Government Affairs office of the Association of Christian Schools International will be presenting this webinar.  He has been instrumental in some of the pieces of the CARES Act that will help our private schools.  He will share what steps you should be taking NOW to get these services.  There will also be time for Q and A.
